Purchased Windows 11 from the Microsoft Store on 2/11/26 and only to find out it is not compatible with my computer. I need instructions on how to get a refund from Microsoft.

    Hello,

Windows license is typically not refundable, hence you would't find the cancel and refund option in the order history list.

However, due to circumstances like yours, sometimes support can make exception. Get in touch with them, explain it and I am sure they can help you.

Go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, Type "Billing" and press Enter. On the next screen, click "Contact support" at the bottom of the page, then choose "Windows" > "Manage my subscription". You’ll then see the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent who has access to your account to help review the issue.

To request a refund for Windows 11 purchased from the Microsoft Store, you can follow these steps:

    1. Visit Microsoft Account Services: Sign in to your Microsoft account at the Microsoft Account Services page.
    2. Locate Your Purchase: Find the Windows 11 purchase under your order history.
    3. Request a Refund: After locating your purchase, look for the option to request a refund. If you don't see this option, you may need to contact Microsoft support directly for assistance.
    4. Contact Support: If you need further help, you can visit the Microsoft support page to chat with a support agent. Make sure to provide them with your purchase details and explain your situation regarding compatibility issues.

If your purchase was made recently, you may be eligible for a full refund, but it's important to act quickly as there are time limits for refund requests.
