I had called today, and purchased the life time access for Microsoft 365. The agent had transferred me to another representative to help me set it up on my computer. When he connected me I could barely hear him and ask him transfer me to some else with a better connection. At this point he had hung up on me. Terrible customer service, I had just spent $200, and now I can't use Microsoft yet because I have no clue how to set it up and I was informed that a live representative would help me out. Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Microsoft 365 is a subscription-based service, which means you need to renew the subscription monthly or yearly. A lifetime license would instead be for a one-time purchase product, such as Office Home 2024 or Office Home & Business 2024.

May I please confirm where you purchased this product - was it from the Microsoft Store or from a third‑party retailer?

If it was a one-time purchase, did you receive a 25-character product key to redeem and activate the license on your Microsoft account?

If you have the product key, redeem the product key on the link here-

    https://setup.office.com/redeem/enter-key

    - Make sure the correct Microsoft account is displayed, as this is the account where the product key will be registered.

Once redeemed, you should see your product under your Microsoft account Services & Subscriptions page here: https://account.microsoft.com/services

You can then download the Office setup files to your device. Download and install them on your Windows or MAC device.

Let me know if you still need more help.
