I am listed as a child in a Microsoft Family group, but I do not have access to the organizer account. I need to be removed from the family group because I cannot leave on my own and I am getting ‘Ask a parent’ permission blocks.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

According to the Microsoft article here, only the user with the Organizer role can remove family members or child accounts from the Family Safety group.

If you no longer have access to the Organizer account, use the account recovery form to recover the account.

Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. You can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

Please note that Microsoft Support cannot remove your account from the family group; you will be redirected to the Account Recovery pages linked above.

To be removed from a Microsoft Family group as a child, you typically need the organizer's permission. If you do not have access to the organizer's account, your options may be limited. However, you can try the following steps:

    1. Contact the Family Organizer: If possible, reach out to the family organizer and request to be removed from the family group.
    2. Microsoft Support: If you cannot contact the organizer, you may need to reach out to Microsoft Support for assistance. They may have procedures in place to help you in this situation.
    3. Account Settings: Check your Microsoft account settings for any options related to family groups. Sometimes, there may be a way to request removal or manage your account settings.

Unfortunately, without the organizer's consent, it may be challenging to leave the family group on your own due to the restrictions in place.
