Hello, sorry if this is a mess I'm really desperate.

I recently had an issue with my C: drive SDD running at 100% so I was advised to do a chkdsk, I put it into the command prompt and restarted my pc. upon restart it showed the manufacturer logo and went to a black screen, it stayed like that for ages with no signs of life, the keyboard was unresponsive but was lit up, I tried win+ctrl+shift+B and a few. other commands with no response.

After a while (and hour or so) I tried to boot it into safe mode with no luck either, I tried unplugging it completely before attempting it reboot with no luck.

I left it running for another 30 minutes while I tried to research what was going on it switched to show the windows boot manager which I have attached, it includes the status 0xc00000e9.

I'm assuming my pc is basically bricked at this point but please, is there anyway I can recover my data, even just some of it - anything??

Are you able to boot into the Recovery Environment using these steps to access Command Prompt?

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

    Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Command Prompt.

If you are unable to access the Recovery Environment using those steps, then you will need to create a bootable Windows 10 USB on an empty 8GB USB flash drive on another working PC and boot your PC from that, then rather than installing Windows 10, select ‘Repair this Computer’ that will give you access to the Recovery Environment from there

In the Recovery Environment on the USB, try each available recovery option.

    Click this link:  https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10

to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can create a bootable USB flash drive (min 8GB) using that tool

Then, Boot your PC from the Installation Media you just created.

The error code 0xc00000e9 typically indicates a hardware failure, often related to the hard drive or connections. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially recover your data:

    1. Check Connections: Ensure that all cables connecting your SSD to the motherboard are secure. If possible, try using a different SATA port or cable.
    2. Boot from Installation Media: Use Windows installation media to boot your computer. You can create this on another computer if necessary. Once booted, select Repair your computer.
    3. Use Startup Repair: From the recovery options, choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair. This tool can fix many common startup issues.
    4. Access Command Prompt: If Startup Repair doesn't work, go back to the Advanced options and select Command Prompt. Here, you can run commands like:
      • chkdsk C: /f /r to check for disk errors.
      • sfc /scannow to repair system files.
    5. Data Recovery: If you still cannot boot, you might need to connect the SSD to another computer as a secondary drive to recover your data. You can use data recovery software if the drive is recognized.
    6. Consider Professional Help: If the drive is not recognized or you are unable to recover data yourself, consider seeking help from a professional data recovery service.

These steps may help you recover your system or at least your data. However, if the SSD is failing, it is crucial to back up your data regularly in the future to prevent loss.
