I have purchase Minecraft with App Store for my child and my child only plays Minecraft on his iPad. The Minecraft account is currently sign-in automatically in a Microsoft account each time Minecraft is launch but I am unable to see the Microsoft account or email it is being associated to his Minecraft account even though he is currently still sign-in this Microsoft account. When I go to the Profile in the Minecraft launcher, I can only see his gamertag but not the Microsoft account email that is being used. Is there any way I am able to find out the email is being associated to my child’s gamertag? My child would also like to play on his laptop using the same Microsoft account in addition playing on his iPad.

    Hello, ClaireC.

Did a Microsoft account "participate" in the purchase? If so, it is quite possible that these credentials were linked to the Minecraft account. This is just a guess. And to clarify the registration data of the game account, I recommend contacting the Minecraft support service directly by filling out the form on the page: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/request/new?ticket_form_id=360001225811

To find out the Microsoft account associated with your child's Minecraft account, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check the Minecraft Launcher: Although you mentioned that you can only see the gamertag, sometimes the email associated with the Microsoft account can be found in the account settings or profile section of the Minecraft launcher. Make sure to explore all available options in the settings.
    2. Sign in to Microsoft Account: If the game is automatically signing in, you might be able to check the Microsoft account by signing out of Minecraft and then attempting to sign in again. The sign-in screen may display the email address associated with the account.
    3. Check Purchase History: If the game was purchased through the App Store, you can check the purchase history on the App Store or the Microsoft account associated with it. This may provide clues about the email used.
    4. Contact Minecraft Support: If you still cannot find the email, consider reaching out to Minecraft Support for assistance. They may be able to help you recover the email associated with the gamertag.
    5. Use the Microsoft Account Recovery Tool: If you suspect that you might have access to the Microsoft account but do not remember the email, you can use the Microsoft account recovery tool to help identify the account.

By following these steps, you should be able to determine the Microsoft account associated with your child's Minecraft gamertag, allowing him to play on both his iPad and laptop.
