    Hi @Michael Heap

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding your request to download a meeting recording from a shared Teams channel, please follow the steps below:

    1. In the Teams channel chat

When a meeting is recorded, the file normally appears directly in the channel’s conversation thread. User's image

    1. In the “Shared” tab of the Teams channel

Navigate to the Shared tab > open the Recordings folder.  This folder stores meeting recordings associated with that channel.

    1. In the Team’s SharePoint site

You can also access the recording through the channel’s connected SharePoint site.  Go to the site > open the Recordings folder to download the file.

To download a meeting recording from a shared Teams channel, you need to ensure that the download permissions are set correctly. If you can download the transcript and attendance but not the recording, it may be due to the channel's recording download settings.

    1. Check Permissions: Ensure that your Teams admin has allowed downloads for channel recordings. The setting can be controlled through the Teams admin policy using the -ChannelRecordingDownload parameter. If it is set to "Block," you will not be able to download the recording.
    2. Access Location: If downloads are allowed, the recordings are typically saved in a Recordings folder in the channel's SharePoint site. You should check there for the recording file.
    3. Contact Admin: If you still cannot download the recording, it may be necessary to contact your Teams administrator to verify the settings or to request access if needed.

For further details on managing download settings, refer to the Teams documentation.
