Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Could you please confirm whether you recently reset your mobile device or reinstalled the Authenticator app?

However, on the screen where you are asked to confirm your identity using the Authenticator app, select "I can't use my authenticator app right now." After selecting this option, do you see any alternative verification methods, such as a phone number or email address, that you can use to verify your identity?

Use any one of the methods to get the verification code. Enter the code and sign in to your account on the Authenticator app or the webpage you are trying to sign in to your account.

If you're unable to log in to your Microsoft 365 account because the Authenticator app is not working, here are some steps you can take:

    1. Alternative Authentication Method: When prompted for the Authenticator app, look for an option that says "I don't have access to my Microsoft Authenticator app". This should guide you to alternative authentication methods, such as receiving a code via SMS or email.
    2. Contact Support: If you are the only administrator for your account and cannot access any alternative methods, you may need to contact Microsoft support. You can call the customer service hotline and follow the prompts to report your issue. Make sure to specify that you are the only admin and need assistance with account recovery.
    3. Create a Trial Tenant: As a workaround, you can create a trial Microsoft 365 tenant. This will allow you to access the Admin Center and submit a support ticket directly. After creating the trial account, log in to the Admin Center, go to "Help & Support", and submit a ticket explaining your situation.
    4. Data Protection Team: If you are locked out, the Microsoft Data Protection team can help verify your identity and regain access to your account. They have specific processes for situations like yours.

Remember to cancel the trial subscription after your issue is resolved to avoid any charges.
