Hello,

I use MS Teams to host webinars.

Since January all of our speakers that use Mac get this error:
This Teams platform doesn't have protection against screenshots, so video will be turned off.Learn more

There is no setting in either Microsoft Teams admin or in the Microsoft Teams app where such a setting is enable or turned to on.

What can be done? Or when will this bug be fixed?

1/Are you the organizer of the webinar event?

2/Could you check whether the following setting was enabled when the webinar was created?

If this option is turn on, it might prevent presenter from sharing screen as this feature doesn't supported MacOS User's image

Hello,

I am the organiser of the events, and I have set it up in MS Teams.

As mentioned before January we never had this issue. I now have 3 webinar created and they all have this issue.

I have checked and that setting is disabled.

Here is also a screenshot of how the message looks like when starting the meeting.

I (and the other speakers) only get this on Mac. When I join from Windows or from an iPhone, it works, I can turn on my camera. But on MAC, this issue completly disables my camera and I also can't see the anything that is being shared on the screen or the speakers. I also don't know if anyone viewing from a Mac can actually see them.
As mentioned this is also happening to the other speakers in my webinars that use Mac, so it's not an issue that is only affecting my device.

To resolve this, Microsoft’s support team will need to step in. A technical support engineer can perform a remote session to investigate the situation verify the backend configurations, and run any necessary synchronization tools to resolve the problem. If the issue requires further attention, they can escalate it to a specialized team for deeper analysis.
