Completely lost access to an alias' inbox

I am writing to request urgent assistance regarding my account access. While managing my account aliases, I accidentally removed my primary email address: [____]@zonmail.pt.

I am now completely unable to access the inbox or log in using that address. I understand that Microsoft’s standard policy often treats alias removals as permanent, but this address is tied to critical personal and professional correspondence.

As per the issue described in this community thread (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/4756975/), I am facing a total loss of access. I would like to know if there is any administrative override to restore this alias to my account or if the deletion can be rolled back.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hi! You created a personal Microsoft account using a third-party email address. That means that if someone emails that address, the message will be delivered to the third-party mailbox, not to Outlook.com. A Microsoft account created this way is mainly an identity for sign-in, not automatically an Outlook.com inbox for that same address.

To keep access to your Microsoft account, you should sign in using your new alias and make sure your security info is up to date.

Removing an alias from your Microsoft account is treated as a permanent action, and once deleted, the alias cannot be restored or associated with any Microsoft account again. This means that if you have removed your primary email address, it is unfortunately gone, and there is no administrative override to restore it.

For future reference, Microsoft provides guidance on managing aliases, which includes warnings about the permanence of deletion. If you need to maintain access to important correspondence, it is advisable to keep multiple aliases or backup options in the future.
