Copilot has stopped working in my native language in the "in-app" copilot function in Excel on some devices.

I'm a Copilot consultant and when I try to demo the "in-app" copilot function in Excel in my native language (Icelandic, which is on the list of supported languages). I'm given the error message that Icelandic is not supported.

This seems to happen only on some devices, I recently held Copilot course for 30 people and me and one other person had this issue while for all others "in-app" copilot in excel was working as intended in Icelandic.

This problem has persisted for many weeks now, I've submitted multiple bug reports but have gotten no reply and I'm not sure how to proceed.

It appears that the issue you are experiencing with the "in-app" Copilot function in Excel not working in Icelandic may be related to device-specific settings or configurations. While Icelandic is listed as a supported language, discrepancies in device settings, such as browser language preferences or Microsoft account settings, could affect functionality.

Here are a few steps you can consider to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Language Settings: Ensure that the language settings on the devices experiencing issues are correctly set to Icelandic. This includes checking both the Microsoft account settings and the browser settings, as some applications may default to the browser's language settings.
    2. Update Software: Make sure that all devices are running the latest version of Excel and any related Microsoft 365 applications, as updates may resolve compatibility issues.
    3. Test on Different Networks: Sometimes, network settings can affect application behavior. Try testing the functionality on different networks to see if the issue persists.
    4. Contact Support: Since you've already submitted bug reports without a response, consider reaching out to Microsoft support directly for assistance, especially if this is impacting your ability to demonstrate the product.

If the problem continues, it may be beneficial to gather more specific error messages or logs from the devices where the issue occurs, as this information can help in diagnosing the problem further.
