My weather widget won't work on my locked screen on my Windows 11 laptop
Installing or updating Microsoft Edge on Windows 11
Hi Chris, thanks for the update. Have you checked if your PC is connected to a work or school account? Sometimes organizational policies can grey out lock screen widgets. If this is a personal PC, have you run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter under Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters? After running it, restart your PC and see if the widgets are available.
No problem, Chris. For this issue, focus on the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters, find Windows Store Apps, and click Run. Follow the prompts, then restart your PC and check the lock screen widgets again. Please let me know how it goes.
Hey, Chris. Thanks for update. If the options are still greyed out, this often means a policy is blocking lock screen widgets. Go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school and check if the device is connected to an organization. If it is, your IT admin controls this setting. If this is your personal PC, run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter under Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters, restart your PC, then check the lock screen again.
Hello
Go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen, turn on the background picture, and add the weather app under “Choose apps to show quick status.” Make sure your account is signed in under Settings > Accounts. If it still doesn’t appear, update Windows and the Weather app from the Microsoft Store.
