    Hi Terri Clarke

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand how frustrating it is when your emails arrive very slowly or don’t appear at all, especially across multiple devices like your iPhone, iPad, and laptop.

I can see the Q&A Assist reply below your post. Have you tried those suggestions already? If yes, what happened?

In the meantime, here are some additional steps that you could try:

    1. Check Outlook on the web in a browser

Sign in to Outlook on the web and send yourself a test message from a different email address.

    • Check all folders (Inbox, Junk Email, Deleted Items, Archive), ensure your inbox filter is set to All (not “Unread” or another filter).
    • Check Focused / Other tab (if Focused Inbox is enabled), emails may land in Other. You can also temporarily turn Focused Inbox off to test.
      • If the email appears on the web immediately, but shows up late on devices, it’s a sync/client issue.
      • If it’s delayed on the web too, it’s more likely a mailbox/account issue

    2. Confirm your mailbox isn't full

A full mailbox causes delays and missing emails: Still in Outlook web, go to Settings > Account > Storage and free up space if needed.

    3. On your laptop, force-close new Outlook and reopen it

    • Right‑click Start > Task Manager
    • Select Microsoft Outlook > End task
    • Reopen new Outlook normally and try signing in again

    4. Repair the new Outlook app

    • From Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps
    • Find new Outlook > … (More options) > Advanced options
    • Scroll down and select Repair

    5. Remove and re‑add your Outlook account on the affected devices

This forces a fresh connection to the server, please see: Add an email account to Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support

For more details, you can see this guide: Fix email sync issues by removing a device from your Outlook mailbox - Microsoft Support

Please feel free to let me know how it goes and I’d happy to help you further. Thanks for your time and understanding.

If you're experiencing delays in receiving emails on Outlook across multiple devices, such as your laptop, iPhone, and iPad, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:

    1. Check Service Health: Sometimes, slow email delivery can be due to issues with the Exchange Online server. You can sign in to the Microsoft 365 portal with your administrator credentials and check the service health to see if other users are experiencing similar issues.
    2. Local Network Issues: Ensure that there are no local network problems affecting your connection. This includes checking your proxy server, firewall settings, or issues with your Internet service provider.
    3. Outlook on the Web: Try accessing your email through Outlook on the web to see if emails are arriving there. If they are, the issue may be with the Outlook app on your devices.
    4. Run Support and Recovery Assistant: If the problem persists, consider using the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant. This tool can help identify and fix issues affecting Outlook or your email account.
    5. Device-Specific Issues: Since the problem occurs on multiple devices, ensure that all applications are updated to the latest version and check if any settings might be affecting email synchronization.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issues with your email delivery in Outlook.
