Hello,

I am an undergraduate student from India trying to sign up for Azure for Students, but I am facing verification issues.

When I attempt academic verification using my college email ID, the system shows messages such as:

“Your email domain is not currently registered with us.”

“Unable to confirm your University ID.”

“You do not have access. Our systems are detecting a problem with your account and are unable to validate your access.”

I tried signing in with both my personal Microsoft account and my college email account, but verification still fails. Because of this, I am being redirected to the standard Azure sign-up flow that requires credit card details, while Azure for Students is supposed to work without a credit card.

Could you please guide me on how to complete manual student verification or enable Azure for Students access for my university account?

Thank you for your assistance.

It seems you are encountering issues with the academic verification process for Azure for Students. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the problem:

    1. Check Email Domain: Ensure that your college email domain is recognized by Microsoft. If your university is not listed in their verification system, you may need to contact your institution to confirm if they are part of the program.
    2. Use Official Email: Make sure you are using your official college email address (usually ending in .edu or the equivalent for your country) when attempting to verify your student status.
    3. Manual Verification: If automatic verification fails, you may need to provide documents for manual verification. Commonly accepted documents include student ID, enrollment letter, or transcript. You should reach out to Microsoft support for specific requirements related to your institution.
    4. Contact Support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for Azure for Students. They can provide detailed guidance and help troubleshoot your account issues.
    5. Alternative Sign-In: If you have previously signed in with a personal Microsoft account, ensure that you are using the correct account linked to your university email for verification.

Following these steps should help you in resolving the verification issues and gaining access to Azure for Students without needing a credit card.
