Hello Yerlan Bakyt,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!
I understand that you are having issue with Kazakh Language on the MacOS Office 365. I truly understand how you feel. Let me assist you go through this situation.
Language availability for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on macOS is decided by Microsoft’s product teams. As of now, Kazakh is not available as a display language in Microsoft 365 apps for Mac, even though it is supported in other Office experiences such as Office on the web and some Microsoft 365 services.
What’s supported today (important distinction)
Microsoft clearly differentiates language support by platform:
- Office on the web (browser): Kazakh is supported as a display language, which matches your experience.
- Microsoft 365 apps for Windows: Kazakh is listed among supported display languages.
- Microsoft 365 apps for macOS: The supported display-language list is shorter, and Kazakh is currently not included.
This is why changing macOS or Office language settings on your Mac does not offer Kazakh as an option.
What you can do right now:
Since this is a feature request rather than a configuration issue, Microsoft directs users to submit feedback through official channels so product teams can track demand:
Submit feedback directly from Office for Mac
- Open Word, Excel, or PowerPoint
- Select Help > Feedback > Suggest a feature
- Clearly mention:
- Kazakh language support
- macOS desktop apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- That Kazakh already exists in Office on the web
- Microsoft explicitly uses this feedback channel to prioritize language and localization requests
I hope this will help with your situation. Please feel free to reach back if you have further update or more questions.
