Hi Lyndy Shaw,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.
The error code 0xc000012f usually appears when Windows is unable to load one of the supporting components an app depends on, rather than indicating a hardware issue with the device itself.
To help resolve this issue, please try the troubleshooting steps below in order:
1, Repair Microsoft Visual C++ components
- Press Win + R, type
appwiz.cpl - For each Microsoft Visual C++ entry, select Change > Repair
- Restart Windows
2, Repair Windows system files
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator
- Run
sfc /scannow - Restart once the scan completes
3, Confirm .NET Framework is enabled
- Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off
- Ensure .NET Framework 4.x is checked
- Restart if any changes are made
4, Reinstall SketchUp (if needed)
- Uninstall SketchUp
- Restart the device
- Reinstall and launch once using Run as administrator
