I have 2 laptop computers mentioned in my Microsoft account. When I attempt to look at the recovery key, I can only find one mentioned with a key. What happens if the other computer needs to be repaired and asks for the key? Will my other key work for it?

If the other device is not listed with a bitlocker key, it is possible that bitlocker is not enabled on that device?

Do you currently have access to that device?

If so, You can type cmd in the search on the taskbar, make sure you use "run as administrator" to launch Command Prompt, then run this command:

    manage-bde -status

Does it show that bitlocker is enabled? If it is, disable it with this command, make sure you let it run through.

    manage-bde -off C:

I know both computers need their own recovery key.

I have searched everywhere for a separate key, there is none

So, I am at a point where I can only pray nothing happens to the computer.

I've done all that. I have no other record anywhere.

If you have two laptops associated with your Microsoft account, each laptop will have its own unique BitLocker recovery key. The recovery key for one laptop will not work for the other laptop. If the second laptop needs to be repaired and prompts for the recovery key, you will need to find the specific recovery key associated with that laptop in your Microsoft account.

To access the recovery key for the second laptop, you can log into your Microsoft account and check under the Devices section. If the recovery key is not listed there, you may need to check any other locations where you might have saved the key, such as a printed copy or a USB drive, as recovery keys are unique to each device.
