Hello Dave Lee, welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you need help with Norton 360 installation after your old version expired.

When a Norton subscription expires, the program disables itself entirely until reactivated. To get Norton working again, you'll need to either renew your existing subscription or install with a new product key.

Since Norton 360 is a third-party product with its own licensing and account system, please visit Norton's support site, as they can best assist with subscription renewal and product-specific installation steps. If you run into Windows-specific errors during installation (error codes, compatibility warnings, etc.), feel free to share those details here and I can help troubleshoot the Windows side.

I think the cleanest way is to run the Norton removal tool first… old bits cling on, seen it too many times, sry u’re dealing w/ it. Reboot, then pull the fresh 360 installer from ur acct page and keeps it from looping on the old stuff. wish it were simpler tbh, but that path’s been the only steady one I think.
