Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
Hello Gayathri Jayaram
Your investor must apply directly to the Microsoft for Startups Investor Network. Once approved, they can issue you a referral code, which is required for startups to access the Investor Offer.
Investor application link (official Microsoft page): https://www.microsoft.com/startups/investors
Microsoft works with VC firms, angel networks, accelerators, incubators, and universities through this network. After approval, investors receive access to referral codes for their portfolio companies.
Once your investor is part of the network:
- The investor shares a referral code with you.
- You apply (or re-apply) through Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub using that code: https://startups.microsoft.com
- During the application, the referral code links your startup to the investor and unlocks the Microsoft for Startups Investor Offer.
Official application and eligibility documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/microsoft-for-startups/application
