Hi Team,

I'm the tech founder and the Chief Technology Officer of Safe-Sight.Ai.

We have been actively building our tech stack on Microsoft and we are seeing huge customer traction now.

We have previously received $25000 startup credits from Microsoft. But we are going to run out of it by April 2026. We do have an investor that wants to join the Microsoft for Startups Investor Network.

Could you please help me with how my investor can join this so I can use the referral code to obtain more credits.

Also if we can get more credits through other means, could you please let us know.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello Gayathri Jayaram

Your investor must apply directly to the Microsoft for Startups Investor Network. Once approved, they can issue you a referral code, which is required for startups to access the Investor Offer.

Investor application link (official Microsoft page): https://www.microsoft.com/startups/investors

Microsoft works with VC firms, angel networks, accelerators, incubators, and universities through this network. After approval, investors receive access to referral codes for their portfolio companies.

Once your investor is part of the network:

    1. The investor shares a referral code with you.
    2. You apply (or re-apply) through Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub using that code: https://startups.microsoft.com
    3. During the application, the referral code links your startup to the investor and unlocks the Microsoft for Startups Investor Offer.

Official application and eligibility documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/microsoft-for-startups/application

    Startup is investor‑affiliated

Fewer than $350,000 lifetime Azure credits received

    Not Series C or later

    For‑profit, privately held, Azure‑supported country

Under the Investor Offer, most startups:

    • Start with ~$100,000 in Azure credits
    • May unlock additional credits over time (subject to Microsoft validation and usage)

    Thanks,
    Suchitra.

To have your investor join the Microsoft for Startups Investor Network, they need to reach out directly to Microsoft. Unfortunately, the specific process for joining the network is not publicly detailed, and you will need to contact Microsoft for more information on how your investor can become a part of this network and obtain a referral code.

Regarding obtaining more Azure credits, since you have already received $25,000 in startup credits, you may be eligible for additional credits through the Microsoft for Startups Investor Offer if your investor is part of the network. Additionally, you can explore the Azure startup credit offer, which provides up to $5,000 in Azure credits, with $1,000 available immediately to get started. This offer is open to all eligible startups without the need for an application.

Make sure to keep track of your current credits and plan accordingly to maximize your usage before they run out.
