If your Microsoft Surface battery is not charging even after trying different chargers, USB-C, UEFI charging, and firmware reinstall — the issue is likely hardware related.

    Shut down.

    Hold Volume Up + Power

    Go to PC Information

    Check battery percentage.

If battery % shows, there but not charging → software issue

If battery % is stuck or 0% → battery or charging IC issue

    Open

    Device Manager:

    Expand Batteries

    Uninstall:

    Surface Battery

    Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery

    Restart

    Finally, If Surface works:

    Only when plugged in

Shuts off instantly when charger removed

    then the battery is dead.

I think that batt fw’s jammed so the EC won’t pass any charge at all… sry u’re stuck w/ that. Only shot I know is a hard EC drain (pull AC, hold pwr ~40s), then hit the OEM charger fast and sometimes it leaks just enough % for the fw to run.
