How to directly go to the specific page\link using SSO for application? We have a training dept that send out email to a direct or specific course via email. The issue is the user will need to be signed to sso authentication before the email link works.

If user is not logged into to sso beforehand, the link goes to login page.

    Hello Glenn Suboc,

    Thank you for the clarification.

With Microsoft Entra ID SSO, when a user clicks a course link and is not already signed in, they will first be redirected to the Entra ID sign-in page. This is expected behavior. After successful authentication, the user should be redirected back to the same course link.

To ensure this works correctly, please check the following:

    • Make sure the link sent in the email is the exact course deep link from Cornerstone, not a general application or homepage URL.
    • Verify that SSO is properly configured in Microsoft Entra ID under Enterprise applications → Cornerstone → Single sign-on, and that the Reply URL is correct.
    • Confirm with your Cornerstone administrator or support team that deep linking (redirect to the original page after login) is supported and enabled.

If the application is configured correctly, users will be redirected to the specific course after signing in. If they already have an active Microsoft 365 or Entra ID session, the sign-in may happen automatically without prompting for credentials.

If users are still being redirected only to the homepage instead of the course, this would need to be reviewed on the Cornerstone application side.

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out for further queries on this.
