Whenever I log on to Entra.microsoft.com i always get prompted as if I don't have 2FA connected.

Entra.Microsoft.com redirects me to select my login (https://login.microsoftonline.com/). I select my login, which I note has the text "signed in" listed underneath it.

It goes to (https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/...) with message:

Let's keep your account secure We'll help you set up another way to verify it's you. Use a different account Learn more about verifying your identity

Then back to "Pick an Account". I reselect the same account.

It then displays (url: https://mysignins.microsoft.com/register):

Set up complete Completed wizard icon You can now verify it's you using these methods: Microsoft AuthenticatorMicrosoft Authenticator Pixel 9 Pro Fold View, add or edit your methods in your account security settings.

How can I stop it from going through this cycle every time?

I did look to temporarily disable 2fa for my clients as they are new, and wanted to give a 28 day grace period while they migrate across.

This occurs in Incognito mode as well.

Thanks

David

Yep - looks like this is sorted now. Just needed to ensure SMS was enabled as the second MFA and then it seemed to behave well.

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can explain the intricacies but for now I will close this ticker.
