Because my previous laptop was damaged and I couldn't deactivate Office.

I want to use my license on a new laptop.

Hi, on your new computer sign into Services & Subscriptions with the same Microsoft Account associated with your Office 2024 https://account.microsoft.com/services You can download your Office from there. You will see:

    User's image

Click on Install. This will open a new page where you can reinstall your Office you can also click on: Need help installing? NOTE: because you cannot uninstall your Office from old computer you will need to contact Microsoft Support to activate your Office on the new computer. https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact Type>Activation>Get Help>Unable to activate Office>Bottom of Page>Sign in Contact Support (Note staff only work from 8am to 6pm)

Hello, I'm Quinn and here to help!

If you have a Microsoft 365 subscription (can be used on up to 5 devices)

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account used to purchase Microsoft 365
    3. Locate the old/damaged laptop in the list
    4. Click Sign out, this remotely deactivates Office on that device and frees up a license slot.
    5. If the old device does not appear. That’s okay — just install Office on the new laptop. If you’ve reached the device limit, Microsoft will prompt you to sign out of another device during activation.
    6. On the left, click Subscriptions to install Office on your new device. No need to access the damaged laptop, signing out online is enough.

    If you have a one-time purchase such as Office 2024/ 2021/ 2019:

    1. Sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/services
    2. Download and install Office on the new laptop
    3. Activate using the same Microsoft account
    4. If activation doesn’t work (like it says the license is already used):
      • Or sign out of the old device under Devices on your Microsoft account page
