I need to understand why I'm being charged for two accounts.

Here are changes dates on my debit card 1/2/2026 for Microsoft 365 Premium, 1/05/2026 for Microsoft 365 personal accounts. Please assist me with this matter. I do need two accounts for my laptop computer and my cell cellphone? I believe that I could share my account with my another devices with one Microsoft account.

Thanks

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

You do NOT need two subscriptions for one laptop and one cellphone. One Microsoft 365 Personal plan works on multiple devices if you use the same account.

Please sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/services and check how many active subscriptions you see.

It seems you are experiencing duplicate charges for your Microsoft 365 subscriptions. Here are a few reasons why you might see two charges:

    1. Multiple Subscriptions: If you have both a Microsoft 365 Premium and a Microsoft 365 Personal account, you will be billed for each subscription separately. This is likely the reason for the two charges on your debit card.
    2. Billing Period Changes: If there have been any changes to your billing cycle or if you are in a renewal period, this could also result in receiving multiple invoices for the same subscription in one month. For example, when your subscription renews, you may receive a final invoice for the previous term and a new invoice for the upcoming term.

Regarding sharing your account, you can share a Microsoft 365 Family subscription with up to six people, allowing them to use the subscription on their devices. However, if you have separate accounts, each will require its own subscription.

If you need further assistance, it may be best to contact Microsoft support directly to clarify your billing situation and ensure that you have the correct subscriptions for your needs.
