Hello @Troy Andrews
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Community!
Thank you so much for reaching out to us. I completely understand how disruptive it can feel when something as simple as text alignment suddenly stops working, especially when your notes look perfect on your Windows PC but appear off on your iPad. I really appreciate you taking the time to let us know what’s happening. To try resolving the issue, please follow a few steps below and let me know how it goes on your end:
1/ Refresh OneNote’s Local Cache on iPad
Sometimes the app’s local cache causes formatting or syncing inconsistencies, and clearing it can help the app redraw the page properly. This does not delete your actual notebooks, only temporary local copies.
Steps:
- Open iPad Settings > OneNote
- Tap Delete All Notebooks and Delete Login Credentials
- Force‑quit OneNote
- Reopen OneNote and sign back in
Please refer to the official article: Reset Microsoft OneNote between users on a shared iPad or iPhone - Microsoft Support
2/ Make Sure OneNote for iPad Is Up to Date
Microsoft may already be rolling out patches. Updating ensures you receive any layout fixes as soon as they're available.
3/ Temporary Workarounds
While not perfect, these can help the experience feel more stable until we have a proper solution:
- Turn off rule lines while typing on iPad.
- Try switching fonts temporarily.
Let me know how it goes while you try clearing OneNote's cache and update the latest version. I look forward to helping you resolve the issue.
