Could you please confirm whether you already tried the steps suggested by Q&A Assist? If yes, what happened when you try? And when the verification screen appears, do you see any option besides SMS?
In the meantime, please try the following:
1. Check whether Microsoft is offering another verification method
On the verification screen, select "Sign in another way" (or similar) to see if you can verify by alternate email, Authenticator app, or another method already on your account.
2. Ensure you’re not trying too many times in a short period
If you’ve requested several codes in a short time, pause and try again later. If you’re still not receiving codes, you may need to wait and try again.
3. Use Microsoft’s official guide for “not receiving the code”
