Hello John, thanks for posting in the community.

I understand how worrying it is to lose access to an account, especially when it contains important travel documents. Microsoft support cannot manually unlock personal Outlook accounts, so the only way to recover access is by using the Account Recovery Form at https://aka.ms/recoveraccount. Even if you remember your security questions, old passwords, or card details, the system can only accept information that matches what is stored in Microsoft’s records.

Try submitting the form from a device, location, and network you have used before with this account because it can improve your chances. Also provide as much accurate information as possible so the system can verify that you are the owner.

I hope you are able to recover your account soon.

    Kind regards,

    John Oli

If you are locked out of your Outlook account and Microsoft is not accepting your security questions or previous passwords, there are a few steps you can take:

    1. Wait for the Lockout Period: If you've made multiple unsuccessful attempts to log in, your account may be temporarily locked. It's advisable to wait for about 24 hours before trying again. During this time, avoid further login attempts as they can reset the cooldown period.
    2. Use the Account Recovery Form: If you haven't already, fill out the Account Recovery Form to verify your ownership of the account. Make sure to provide as much accurate information as possible.
    3. Try Different Recovery Methods: If you have the option, try signing in using a different method available on the password page. This could include using a familiar device or location.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support: If the above steps do not work, you may need to contact Microsoft Support directly. You can find support options by going to the Microsoft Support page and selecting the appropriate product and service.
    5. Avoid Using Third-Party Numbers: Be cautious with phone numbers provided by third parties, as they may not connect you to Microsoft directly. It's best to use official Microsoft support channels.

If you continue to experience issues, it may be necessary to wait until the lockout period expires and then attempt the recovery process again.
