The Microsoft 365 chat recommended I follow up with the Outlook Chat. I hav spent 2 hours logging in, calling numbers but it's a very circular process!

How do you get support when you are receiving 60 spam emails a day and the blocker isn't blocking. How safe is my account?

Hello Claire B5, thanks for posting in the community.

When you receive many spam emails, it usually means the Outlook filter needs some adjustments or certain senders are getting past the current settings. Your account is normally safe as long as you do not see any unfamiliar sign-ins, but it is still good to review your security.

You can check your Junk Email settings on Outlook.com by opening Settings, going to Mail, then Junk email. Make sure there are no unexpected entries under Safe senders or Safe mailing lists. It also helps to review your inbox rules to confirm nothing is redirecting messages out of the Junk folder. If the unwanted messages continue, mark them as Junk or Phishing so the filter can learn and improve.

To protect your account, run the security checkup at https://account.microsoft.com/security. This will show any unusual sign-ins, devices, or forwarding rules. If something looks suspicious, change your password and turn on two-step verification for extra protection. If the issue still happens after adjusting these settings, you can reach Microsoft Support through chat or request a callback by signing in at https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact.

    Kind regards,

    John Oli
