Student Premium Verification Issue

Hello,

I recently activated my student membership, and my account currently appears as Premium. However, I still do not have access to LinkedIn Student Premium features.

I later realized that the verification code sent to my student email address on 08.02.2026 was delivered to my spam folder, so I did not see it in time. Since more than 5 days have passed, I was unable to complete the verification process and activate Student Premium.

Could you please let me know what I should do next to complete the verification and activate my Student Premium benefits?

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards,

    Hello melis babacan,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!

I understand that you are having issue with Microsoft Student offer. I truly understand how you feel. Let me assist you go through this situation.

Based on your description, it seems like your account can show Premium on LinkedIn, but Student Premium features won’t unlock until the student verification is completed. The email verification link/code is time‑limited (in your case, 5 days). Once it expires, it can’t be used anymore. If the verification email was missed (for example, filtered to spam), the process usually needs to be restarted or manually reviewed rather than “resumed” with the old code.

    1. Try to resend or restart student verification

Sign in to the student offer / academic verification page you originally used and look for an option to:

    • Resend the verification email, or
    • Restart the student verification process

If LinkedIn or Microsoft allows a resend, this is the fastest fix.

Tip: Keep your spam/junk folder open while doing this and mark the sender as “Not spam” to avoid another miss.

    1. Check that your accounts are correctly linked

    Make sure that:

    • Your LinkedIn account email matches your verified student email, and
    • The same Microsoft account used for student verification is the one connected to LinkedIn

Account linking delays are a common reason Student Premium doesn’t activate even when Premium appears active.

    1. Contact LinkedIn Support for manual activation

If the resend option is no longer available (very common once the 5‑day window passes), the next step is LinkedIn Support, not general Microsoft billing support.

    When contacting them, explain:

    • The verification email was delivered to spam
    • The code expired before you saw it
    • Your account shows Premium but Student Premium benefits are missing

LinkedIn Support can manually re‑trigger verification or apply the student benefit if your eligibility is confirmed.

    1. Important limitation to be aware of

Student promotions (including LinkedIn Student Premium via Microsoft) are time‑ and availability‑based. If an offer fully expires or runs out in your region, it cannot always be reinstated automatically, even if verification was missed. This is why contacting support quickly is important

I hope this will help with your situation. Please feel free to reach back if you have further update or more questions.

    Best Regards,

To complete the verification process and activate your Student Premium benefits, you may need to follow these steps:

    1. Check Spam Folder: Since you mentioned that the verification code was sent to your spam folder, ensure that you regularly check this folder for any future emails from Microsoft.
    2. Request a New Verification Code: If the verification code has expired or you missed it, you should be able to request a new verification code. Look for an option in your account settings or the student membership section to resend the verification email.
    3. Contact Support: If you are unable to request a new code or if the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your account status and help you complete the verification process.
    4. Follow Up: After requesting a new code or contacting support, keep an eye on your email (including the spam folder) for any updates or further instructions.

By following these steps, you should be able to complete the verification process and gain access to your Student Premium features.
