My PC keeps restarting unexpectedly when idle or when I step away without looking. I noticed this problem started a few weeks ago.

Please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

Please do not upload a very large Memory.dmp file.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so I can take a look for you.

It seems that your PC is experiencing unexpected restarts, which can be frustrating. The blue screen error code 10e you mentioned indicates a specific issue that may be related to hardware or driver problems. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Check for Recent Changes: Since you mentioned this problem started a few weeks ago, consider any new hardware or software installations that may have coincided with the issue. Uninstalling or rolling back recent updates might help.
    2. Update Drivers: Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause blue screen errors. Make sure all your drivers, especially graphics and chipset drivers, are up to date.
    3. Run Hardware Diagnostics: Use the built-in Windows Memory Diagnostics tool to check for memory issues. You can also check for other hardware problems using manufacturer diagnostics tools.
    4. Review Event Logs: Check the Event Viewer for any critical errors or warnings that occurred around the time of the restarts. Look for Event IDs 41, 1001, and 6008, which can provide insight into the cause of the unexpected reboots.
    5. Check Power Supply: Ensure that your power supply is functioning correctly, as power interruptions can lead to unexpected restarts.
    6. Perform a Clean Boot: To rule out software conflicts, perform a clean boot and see if the issue persists. This will help identify if a background program is causing the problem.

If the problem continues after trying these steps, you may need to gather more detailed information from the dump files you mentioned to analyze the specific cause of the blue screen error.
