This error message seems to be connected to the age requirements for social spaces created by the Online Safety Act 2023 at least in the UK. Once I confirmed my age using Yoti I was able to login without the error.
Microsoft Solitaire Collection login not working
I’m having issues with my Microsoft Solitaire Collection on windows 11 as it will not login. I get the error code 0x8015DBFE when I try.
I have the Xbox app and I’m logged into that with no issues. I can see my profile fine. I’m also logged into my Microsoft Account for Windows and again I can view my profile and details with no issues.
I have all the following services running:
-Xbox Accessory Management Service
-Xbox Live Auth Manager
-Xbox Live Game Save
-Xbox Live Networking Service
I have done all my Windows updates and currently at the time of writing this I was completely updated.
I have gone into the installed apps, found the Solitaire Collection and done both a repair and reset in the advanced options. I did a repair first, restarted my computer and that didn’t work. So, I did a reset, restarted my computer and that also didn’t work.
I went to the Microsoft store to see if there were any updates but could see none. So, I uninstalled the app, restarted my computer and then downloaded the app again. I then restarted my computer and that didn’t work.
I also checked for updates to the xbox app but could see none. So, I uninstalled the app, restarted my computer and then downloaded the app again. I then restarted my computer, opened the Xbox app, signed in successfully and then tried the Solitaire collection but that did not work.
So, I uninstalled both the Xbox app and Solitaire Collection, restarted my computer, downloaded both, logged into the Xbox app successfully and then opened the Solitaire Collection app and I still could not sign in.
Has anyone else had this issue and how did they resolve it? The login error is always 0x8015DBFE.

2026-02-20T11:27:12.42+00:00 I had the same problem with 2 computers, a laptop and a desktop. It affected me just today.
I have been a user for several years and this was the only incident with login.
I went to the Xbox webpage and I was asked to identify my age to protect XBox and continue to
use the App.
I did a verification of my age which was accepted and I now login without any problem.
BTW I played the daily challenge as a guest and todays challenges were added to my account without needing to play again.
Hope this helps.

2026-02-20T03:24:08.11+00:00 Hi Anita,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum. Thank you for confirming the additional steps you’ve tried.
Since the Xbox app signs in successfully and Gaming Services has been reinstalled, this indicates the sign‑in issue is specific to how Microsoft Solitaire Collection connects to Xbox Live and Microsoft Store services.
To help isolate and move forward, please try these possible checking steps:
1, Sign out and refresh account access
- Sign out of the Xbox app.
- Visit Microsoft Account > Devices and remove this PC.
- Go to Xbox Account, ensure to check for age verification on your account.
- Restart the device, then sign back into the Xbox app and open Solitaire.
2, Disable network filters temporarily
- Turn off any VPN, proxy, or third‑party firewall software.
- Restart Windows and test Solitaire again.
3, Test with a new Windows user profile
- Go to Settings > Accounts > Other users and create a temporary local user.
- Sign in to that account, install Microsoft Solitaire Collection, and try signing in.
If the issue continues after these steps, all local troubleshooting has been completed. The fastest next step is to directly contact Microsoft Support.

2026-02-19T17:31:28.5933333+00:00 The only thing I had not tried on the AI answer was number 2 with update Gaming Services:
I right-clicked on my start button and opened Terminal (Admin) which brings up PowerShell in Admin mode. I used the commands of:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusersAnd then followed by:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHNI then restarted my computer and still the same problem with the Solitaire Collection. I'm logged into the Xbox app with no issues and I have tried opening the Solitaire Collection from that app. It opens but still the same issue of not being able to login.
It has been like this since Monday.
