Why doesnt the slide to shut down pop up when i press shut down in the windows tab

When i go to the windows tab and try to shut it down it doesnt give me the slide to shut down bar like it used to

In Windows 11, selecting Shut down from the Start > Power menu performs a standard shutdown directly. The full‑screen Slide to shut down interface is no longer part of the normal shutdown flow and does not appear when using the Windows key or Power menu.

If you need the feature, it is still available and can be launched manually:

• Press Windows + R
• Type slidetoshutdown
• Press Enter

You can create a shortcut for one‑click access:

• Right‑click on the desktop > New > Shortcut
• Enter: C:\Windows\System32\SlideToShutDown.exe
• Select Next, name the shortcut, then Finish

The issue you are experiencing with the slide to shut down feature not appearing when you try to shut down your Windows device may be related to the Fast Startup feature. When Fast Startup is enabled, the system may not fully shut down, which can lead to unexpected behavior during the shutdown process. This can cause the shutdown process to revert back to the Windows Lock screen instead of displaying the slide to shut down option.

To resolve this, you can try disabling Fast Startup:

1. Go to Control Panel.
2. Navigate to Power Options.
3. Click on Choose what the power buttons do.
4. Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
