Unlock my account

Ridiculous!

You say you get unlimited attempts but then say only 2 attempts in a 24 hour period! Its now been almost a week. I have heard nothing following my umpteen times of trying and keep waiting 24 hours then another 24 hours! how long do I have to wait 24 hours?

I've just tried again by filling out yet another recovery account form in a private mode but no doubt I'll have to wait another bloody 24 hours! to get nothing. Not even an acknowledgment.

If I stop trying to recover my account, how long is the locked down period before my account is miraculously unlocked. I'm at my wits end because I have urgent emails trying to get through. This is unacceptable crap service and it seems there is absolutely naff all I can do. I'm sure if I was trying to hack into someone's account, I would have given up by now and moved on to someone else, not kicking off about getting into my own account.

If your account is locked due to multiple incorrect login attempts, Microsoft typically imposes a temporary lockout period. This period usually lasts about 24 hours, and during this time, it's advisable to refrain from further login attempts, as they can reset the cooldown timer. After the lockout period, you can try logging in again.

If you continue to face issues after the lockout period, it may be necessary to fill out the account recovery form again. However, if you've reached the daily limit for submissions, you will need to wait until the next day to submit another request. Unfortunately, there is no specific timeframe for when you will receive a response, as the recovery process is automated for security reasons.

In the meantime, ensure that you are using familiar devices and locations when attempting to recover your account, as this can increase the chances of successful recovery.
