If emails have disappeared from your Hotmail inbox, it could be due to a few reasons. One common cause is that a filter may have been applied to the default view settings of your Outlook folder, which can cause items to be hidden from view. - In the ribbon, select the View tab.
- In the Current View area, select View Settings.

Additionally, if the emails were deleted, you can search for deleted emails using specific commands in PowerShell, depending on how they were deleted (soft delete, hard delete, etc.).
If you still cannot find the emails, consider checking the Deleted Items folder or any other folders where the emails might have been moved inadvertently.
