I cannot figure out where the $139.09 charge is for on my capitol one credit card. I am guessing it is from Microsoft per the information on the title line. I want to know what it is for or did someone take my credit card information and is using it without my permission. Also. I was billed last month and I paid it. I assumed it was form the yearly office 365 fee. Please help me figure out who charged this or if someone is using my credit card on their account.

Can you go to your account https://account.live.com Sign in and go to Services & Subscription, do you see anything that matches the charges? If not, click on Order history instead and anything?

If you find the charges on YOUR account but you don't recognize making those purchase, for your privacy and security, billing matter cannot be discussed here, nor does anyone helping here have access to such data. You will need to contact support to get it handled. On your computer, launch the Get Help app from the start menu, then type in "Billing" as the keyword. On the next page, you can click on "Contact support" button. Then fill out a few more details and you will be directed to the page where you will have the option to chat with a live support agent.

If you cannot locate the charges on your Microsoft account at all, it's possible that your credit card has been compromised. This means unauthorized charges may have been made on someone else's Microsoft account using your credit card. In such a scenario, you should contact your credit card company to open a dispute case. Microsoft is unable to directly investigate issues related to someone else's account if you contact their Billing Support directly. However, once a dispute case is initiated by your credit card company, Microsoft can then respond specifically to those claims through the dispute process with the credit card company. This is the appropriate channel to resolve such issues, as it ensures proper verification and handling of the unauthorized charges.

To determine the source of the charge noted as Microsoft*Microsoft36RedmondWA on your Capital One credit card, you can take the following steps:

    1. Check Your Microsoft Account: Sign in to your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com and review your services and subscriptions. This will help you identify if the charge corresponds to a subscription like Microsoft 365 or any other service.
    2. Billing History: Look at your billing history on the Microsoft account page to see if there are any recent charges that match the amount of $139.09.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If you still cannot identify the charge, you can reach out to Microsoft support for assistance. They can help you verify if the charge is legitimate and if it is associated with your account.
    4. Monitor for Fraud: If you suspect that someone may have unauthorized access to your credit card information, consider contacting your bank or credit card issuer to dispute the charge and monitor your account for any further unauthorized transactions.
    5. Previous Charges: Since you mentioned being billed last month, ensure that this charge is not a recurring fee for a subscription you may have forgotten about.

Following these steps should help you clarify the situation regarding the charge on your credit card.
