Hi Ali, this usually happens when push notifications from the Microsoft Authenticator app are blocked or the device registration is out of sync. First, confirm that notifications are enabled for Authenticator in your phone’s system settings and that battery optimization or “Do Not Disturb” isn’t suppressing them. Make sure the app is updated to the latest version and that your phone has a stable internet connection, since push approvals require connectivity. If you recently changed phones or reinstalled the app, you may need to remove the old device registration from your Microsoft account security settings and re‑add the Authenticator by scanning a fresh QR code. If none of this works, use the fallback option of entering the time‑based one‑time password (TOTP) code shown in the Authenticator app instead of waiting for a push prompt. If you are still locked out, you’ll need to initiate account recovery through https://account.live.com/proofs/manage and follow Microsoft’s verification process to regain access.

    Harry.

If you're unable to log in to your Microsoft account because the Microsoft Authenticator app is not showing any notifications or codes, there are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check Notifications: Ensure that notifications are enabled for the Microsoft Authenticator app on your device. Sometimes, app notifications can be disabled in the device settings.
    2. Refresh the App: Open the Microsoft Authenticator app and try pulling down to refresh the account list. This may prompt the app to check for any pending notifications or codes.
    3. Alternative Sign-in Methods: If you have alternative sign-in methods set up (like SMS or email), try using those to access your account.
    4. Contact Support: If you are still unable to access your account, you may need to contact Microsoft support for assistance. Since you mentioned that you are the only user registered under this account, the Microsoft Data Protection team can help verify your identity and regain access to your account.
    5. Re-register Authenticator: If possible, you may need to reset your multi-factor authentication settings through your organization's admin center, which will allow you to set up the Authenticator app again.

These steps should help you regain access to your account.
