Hi everyone,

I am currently using Azure AI Foundry. I am noticing very high, unexpected charges coming from "Observability" .

I do not need these logs, metrics, or trace data right now, and my main goal is to stop these charges completely.

Could someone provide step-by-step guidance on how to safely disable data collection or delete these observability resources without breaking my main project and deployed models?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.image

To disable or turn off Observability costs in Azure AI Foundry, you can follow these general steps:

    1. Access the Foundry Portal: Log in to your Azure AI Foundry account and navigate to the Foundry portal.
    2. Navigate to the Agents Playground: In the Foundry portal, go to the agents playground where you can manage your evaluations.
    3. Disable Evaluations: In the agents playground, locate the metrics box. Unselect all evaluators to turn off the evaluations that are contributing to the observability costs. This will stop the data collection related to logs, metrics, and trace data.
    4. Monitor Costs: After making these changes, keep an eye on your billing to ensure that the observability costs have stopped. You may want to check the Azure pricing page for any further details on costs related to observability features.
    5. Consider Resource Management: If you have specific resources dedicated to observability, consider deleting or purging those resources to prevent any further charges. Make sure to delete any deployments before deleting the resource to avoid unwanted charges.

Following these steps should help you minimize or eliminate the observability costs associated with your Azure AI Foundry usage.
