Teams app-Notify when available option dissapeared

Today I noticed the "Notify when available" option disappeared. I use use it often and regularly (last time few days ago), because we work 100% digital on different continents, and this option served me well.

Is this feature still available? If yes where do I find it?

Hey Denisa,

That feature should definitely still be there in the New Teams client (it was brought back quite a while ago after a temporary removal). Since it worked for you recently, this sounds like a UI glitch or a change in where you are clicking.

Could you clarify a couple of things?

Are you trying to right-click the person's name from inside the main Chat list (the rail on the left side) or from the top of an open conversation window?
If you are using a "popped out" chat window, does the option reappear if you close the pop-out and look at the main Teams window?

In the meantime, check if you can still access the list of people you are notifying. Go to Settings > Notifications and activity > People > Manage notifications. Let me know if that menu is still accessible to you.

If you are using a "popped out" chat window, does the option reappear if you close the pop-out and look at the main Teams window? No, the option does not re-apper.

Settings > Notifications and activity I see onlyonly General, Chats and channels, Meetings, Calendar, Apps. There is no " People".

Thanks for checking. That usually means one of two things. Either the local cache for your Teams app is corrupted, or your company IT admins just rolled out a policy change that disables presence tracking.

To narrow this down, are you using the installed Teams desktop app or logging in through a web browser? Also, if you can ask a couple of coworkers if the option disappeared for them too, that would be a huge help. If it is gone for everyone, your IT department definitely turned it off globally for your organization.
