    Hi,

If possible, access msinfo32.exe in the start menu, take a screenshot and post it here.

This way we can see if it meets the requirements for Windows 10.

Regarding the Windows 10 installation, the best method is using the USB flash drive process, booting into the BIOS and starting the installation instead of updating. However, you have to back up your files beforehand because this process will wipe your HDD/SSD drive.

    Thanks

To upgrade your HP Pavilion G6 laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Your Eligibility: Ensure that your device is eligible for the upgrade. If you are using Windows 7 Pro, you can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro with a valid license.
    2. Backup Your Data: Before starting the upgrade, back up all important files and data to avoid any loss during the process.
    3. Use Windows Update:
      • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
      • Check for updates. If your device is eligible for the upgrade, you should see an option to upgrade to Windows 10.
    4. Download Windows 10: If you prefer to use the Microsoft Software Download site:
    5. Create Installation Media: If you want to install Windows 10 on a different device or create a bootable USB drive:
    6. Follow the Prompts: During the installation process, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade. Make sure your laptop is connected to the internet and has sufficient disk space (at least 20 GB for a 64-bit OS).

If you encounter any issues during the upgrade, consider using the SetupDiag tool to analyze log files and identify problems.
