    Hi Παν Ζενιώδης,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand that after completing a clean installation of Windows 11, you’re encountering an issue when entering your router password on the router’s web interface.

In this situation, the issue can occur if the password input field is not behaving correctly. As you type, the cursor may reset or jump back, which prevents the full password from being entered.

Please try the steps below. Each step is designed to help avoid the input behavior that causes the cursor to jump back.

Step 1: Open the router page in a fresh browsing session

Sometimes saved data or extensions in the browser interfere with router login pages.

    1. Open your web browser.
    2. Start a new private / incognito session (this opens a clean session without saved passwords or extensions).
    3. In that window, enter your router’s address.
    4. Carefully try entering the router password again.

This step works because private sessions disable autofill and background features that can interrupt password fields and reset the cursor.

Step 2: Avoid typing the password directly

If the cursor still jumps while typing, bypass the typing behavior completely.

    1. Open Notepad (or any simple text editor).
    2. Type your router password fully in Notepad.
    3. Select the entire password and copy it (Ctrl + C).
    4. Return to the router login page.
    5. Click once in the password field and paste the password (Ctrl + V) instead of typing.
    6. Click Login.

Copy‑and‑paste avoids the character‑by‑character input that triggers the cursor reset issue.

Step 3: Try from another device

This helps confirm the issue is specific to the current Windows 11 setup.

    1. Use another device already connected to the same router (phone, tablet, or another computer).
    2. Open the router login page and enter the same password.
    3. If it works there, the router password is confirmed correct and the issue is isolated to the Windows 11 browser interaction.

Please keep me posted on how it goes and feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance. I'm here to help.
