MS Copilot (Personal Plan) - February 20, 2026...Copilot is saying it can no longer generate brand-new images...is this true

Today, working in Copilot via my laptop, i was told that it is no longer capable of generating brand-new images. And that it wasn't the type of plan I am on. Everything worked fine yesterday. Is it true then that I will no longer be able to generate brand-new images via MS Copilot

This message typically indicates a usage cap or temporary throttling rather than a permanent removal of image generation. Microsoft commonly applies daily limits, short-term rate limits, or dynamic throttling during periods of high demand. When those limits are reached, Copilot may report that image generation is unavailable for your plan even though access typically resets after some time. Since it was working yesterday, a temporary quota or throttling limit is more likely than a permanent change to your plan.
