    Hello Jakob Øwre Vattengård,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Before we proceed, may I know what it says when you hover over the greyed out "Multiplayer" button?

If it says that multiplayer was disabled because of your account settings. Here are the steps for you to enable it.

    • Go to xbox.com/privacy and log in with your account.
    • Change to the "Windows 10 and Xbox Online Safety Settings"
    • Set "You can join multiplayer games" and "You can join cross network play" to allow.
    • Scroll down and select "Submit" to save the changes

To access multiplayer in Minecraft, you need to ensure a few things are set up correctly:

    1. Check Your Version: Make sure you are using the correct version of Minecraft that supports multiplayer. If you're using Minecraft Education Edition, ensure you have the right permissions and settings enabled.
    2. Internet Connection: Ensure that your device is connected to the internet. A stable connection is necessary for multiplayer functionality.
    3. Multiplayer Settings: In the game settings, check if multiplayer is enabled. Sometimes, it may be greyed out due to restrictions or settings that need to be adjusted.
    4. Firewall and Security Settings: Check your firewall or security software to ensure that it is not blocking Minecraft from accessing the internet.
    5. Hosting a Game: If you are trying to host a game, make sure you have set up the game session properly and that your friends can join.

If the multiplayer option remains greyed out, you may need to troubleshoot your installation or check for any updates that might be required.
