I have Windows 10 on my computer & it can not be upgraded to Windows 11. But received notice you have charged my account for renewal on 2/19/26. Why would I need this if my computer can't be upgraded? At this time I can not afford a new computer, so I am asking for a refund of my subscription till I can get a new computer

If you have been charged for a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription, it is likely due to the renewal process that occurs automatically unless you cancel your subscription. The fact that your computer cannot be upgraded to Windows 11 does not affect your ability to use Microsoft 365, as it is a separate service that can still be utilized on Windows 10.

If you believe you should not be charged or wish to request a refund, it is best to contact Microsoft directly for assistance. They can provide you with the necessary steps to address your billing concerns and discuss your options regarding the subscription.

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. To add to the above, as you have an existing subscription, you will need to cancel it first and then you can go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365/billing and try it from there or try to turn off the recurring billing at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2277073 and you can also follow the guided steps indicated from the link below.
