Hi,

It's been over a week now or maybe two weeks my account was locked. I have tried multiple times. Tried what outlook suggests. Changed password. Waited for a week and then tried. But still my account is blocked and it always says verify through number and then verification method does not work. I have verified my account through my alternate email but still unable to access my account. I am seeking help in this matter. I am using this email for more than 5 years and now I a stuck at this. I have too much data in it.

My email: ******@outlook.com

If your Outlook account is still locked after trying to reset your password and verifying through your alternate email, it's possible that your account has been temporarily blocked due to multiple failed sign-in attempts or suspicious activity. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Wait for the Lockout Period: If you've attempted to log in multiple times unsuccessfully, it’s advisable to wait for at least 24 hours before trying again. During this time, avoid any further login attempts as they can reset the cooldown period.
    2. Use the Account Recovery Form: Since you mentioned that verification methods are not working, you should fill out the Account Recovery Form with as much detail as possible. Make sure to use a familiar device and location when submitting the form.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If you continue to experience issues, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. You can do this by visiting the Microsoft Support page and looking for options to chat with a support agent.
    4. Check for Account Activity: If you regain access, check your account for any unauthorized changes or activity.
    5. Secure Your Account: Once you regain access, change your password to a strong one, enable two-factor authentication, and ensure your recovery options are up to date.

These steps should help you in regaining access to your account. If the problem persists, it may require further assistance from Microsoft Support.
