Hi, I received a text from my boss. It was actually fraud, using both his and my name. He asked me to purchase gift cards for Xbox totaling $1,000 that he could give to other employees as a thank you. I was instructed to text pictures to him so he could gift them. Is there any way for Microsoft to flag these cards? And is there any way I can be reimbursed? I am filing a police report, and I already filed a report with the government. Please provide me details to report this.

    Hello Kristi O'Connell,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

It's unfortunate to hear what you've been through. You're doing the right thing that filling a police report.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas. To report this, please contact Microsoft Support, they will have the proper tool to help you locating the account if needed for further investigation. For the reimbursement, I'd suggest that you should try to make a claim with your bank on this. Thank you for your understanding.
