Since installing Windows 11, I have lost my printer. It started with the printer having issues printing so I decided to remove the printer then re-install it. The laptop now cannot find the printer to re-install it. It is on the same WiFi system, yet it cannot find it. This has happened on 2 laptops. My personal one & my work laptop. There is nothing wrong with the printer as my partner can print, (she is running Windows 10) and I can print from my phone.

The printer is a Canon Maxify MB5350

    Hi,

You should probably check if you have a version of it added in the Start menu > Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Show more devices. > Scroll down > Show more devices > take a screenshot and post it here.

Is your printer not configured in Wi-Fi Direct mode?

Can you see the IP address the printer obtained?

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with your Canon Maxify MB5350 printer after installing Windows 11. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

    1. Check Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the WiFi network. Sometimes, printers may disconnect from the network, and you may need to reconnect them.
    2. Add Printer Manually: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. Click on Add a printer or scanner. If your printer does not appear, select The printer that I want isn't listed and follow the prompts to add it manually.
    3. Update Printer Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers for your Canon printer. You can check for updates through Windows Update or download the latest drivers from the Canon website.
    4. Check Windows Update: Sometimes, issues can be resolved with the latest Windows updates. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for any available updates.
    5. Restart Devices: Restart both your laptop and the printer. This can often resolve connectivity issues.
    6. Network Settings: Ensure that your network settings allow for device discovery. Check your firewall settings to make sure they are not blocking the printer.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consult Canon's support for further assistance.
