I ran my (own) business from my computer and added a business MS account to my personal computer. I toggled back and forth between that MS account and my personal account. I have since closed the business account, but somehow, now I can't change my own password on my own computer, because I get a message that the option to change my pin is not available and when I look to see the account it's my business account my computer thinks I'm linked to.

To change your Microsoft sign-in PIN, you need to ensure that your account is configured correctly. Since you mentioned that your computer is recognizing your old business account, this could be causing the issue where the option to change your PIN is unavailable.

Here are some steps you can take to resolve this:

    1. Check Account Settings: Make sure you are signed in with your personal Microsoft account. You can do this by going to Settings > Accounts > Your info. Ensure that your personal account is the one currently active.
    2. Remove the Business Account: If your business account is still linked, you may need to remove it. Go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school and disconnect the business account if it is still listed.
    3. Group Policy Settings: If your device is joined to a domain or has specific Group Policy settings enabled, it may restrict the ability to change the PIN. Ensure that the policies related to PIN and Windows Hello for Business are configured correctly. You may need to consult with an IT administrator if this applies.
    4. Resetting the PIN: If you still cannot change the PIN, you might need to reset it. You can do this by going to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options, and selecting the option to reset your PIN if available.
    5. Using Command Prompt: If you have administrative access, you can also enable the built-in administrator account and log in to reset your PIN from there. This involves using the Command Prompt to load the registry and modify account settings as needed.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
