I have been unable to download attachments in my email to my iPhone. The attachment will open but when I choose to save it, a loading page opens and doesn’t move. How can I get this fixed?

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how inconvenient it is when an attachment opens but won’t save, especially when the loading screen freezes and nothing progresses.

Attachment download issues in Outlook for iOS usually happen when the app cache becomes corrupted, the network connection is unstable, or the app needs an update. Microsoft guidance explains that clearing the Outlook app cache, checking internet stability, updating the Outlook app, or reinstalling it often resolves issues where content or attachments fail to download. Additional troubleshooting steps recommend offloading the Outlook app from iPhone Storage to refresh cached data, switching between Wi‑Fi and mobile data, resetting network settings, or removing and re‑adding your account if syncing is stuck or attachments stall during download.

Please feel free to follow up with any additional details or screenshots  I’m here to help you get attachments downloading smoothly again.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel

If you are experiencing issues downloading attachments on your iPhone, there are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem:

    1. Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your iPhone is connected to a stable internet connection, as a weak connection can cause loading issues.
    2. Restart the App: Close the Outlook app completely and then reopen it. This can help refresh the app and resolve temporary glitches.
    3. Update the App: Make sure that you are using the latest version of the Outlook app. Go to the App Store and check for any available updates.
    4. Reboot Your iPhone: Sometimes, simply restarting your device can fix issues with app performance.
    5. Check Storage Space: Ensure that your iPhone has enough storage space available to save the downloaded attachments.
    6. Reinstall the App: If the issue persists, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the Outlook app to reset its settings.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may want to check for any known issues with the Outlook app or contact Microsoft support for further assistance.
