    Hi @zouheir mrad

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for posting your question and I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing with your Microsoft 365 administrator access. Based on the information you’ve shared, it appears that your account type may have unexpectedly changed from Global Administrator to a Member, which would prevent you from performing administrative tasks.

Below are the possible situations in which this could occur, along with the steps you can take to restore your administrative privileges.

Scenario 1: Another Administrator or Partner Still Has Elevated Access

Please check to see if there are other IT admins in your company, still holds a Global Administrator role, then they will need to help you reassign the Global Administrator role back to your account.

In cases where your tenant was previously managed by a Microsoft partner, they may still have Delegated Admin Permissions (DAP) or Granular Delegated Admin Permissions (GDAP). If so, the partner may be able to restore your Global Administrator permissions.

For reference: Assign admin roles in the Microsoft 365 admin center - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

Scenario 2: No One Has Access to a Global Administrator Account

If there is no longer an active Global Administrator on the tenant, or if no one is able to sign in with elevated privileges, you will need support from Microsoft’s Data Protection Team to regain administrative access.

You can try the following support options:

1/ Contact Microsoft Support by phone

If calling support is feasible, you may contact Microsoft using the global customer service phone numbers listed here: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support.

When speaking with an agent, explain that your Global Administrator permissions were removed, and your account is now listed only as a member, and you need help regaining administrative privileges. The agent will guide you through the next steps.

To verify tenant ownership, the Data Protection Team may request documents such as:

    • Proof of domain ownership (DNS access)
    • Billing or subscription records
    • Tenant ID
    • Business registration documents
    • Documentation confirming you are an authorized representative of the organization

Please note that forum moderators do not have access to internal systems and cannot modify roles or restore account access.

2/ Create a temporary tenant to submit a support ticket (Alternative method)

If you cannot reach a live agent, you can register a temporary tenant using a free trial here: Microsoft 365 Business Plans and Pricing | Microsoft 365 (choose “Try for free” under a business plan).

After setting up the new tenant, open the Microsoft 365 admin center and create a support ticket. In the description, clearly explain that you lost your Global Administrator access in your primary tenant and need to speak with the Data Protection team. User's image

You can use or adapt the message below:

    Message Template for Support Ticket

"Hello, I’m currently unable to manage my original Microsoft 365 tenant because my Global Administrator permissions were removed, and my account is now listed only as a member.

I created this new tenant solely to request assistance. I kindly request to be connected with the Data Protection team so they can verify my identity and authorization and help restore my administrative privileges for the original tenant.

I am fully prepared to provide any supporting documentation required, including:

    • Proof of domain ownership
    • Billing or subscription information
    • Tenant ID
    • Official business registration documents
    • Documentation confirming that I am an authorized representative of the organization

Thank you, and I appreciate your guidance on how to proceed."

I hope this helps you regain access to your account quickly. I'm glad to assist and truly hope the information provided has been useful. Please feel free to reach out anytime if you need further assistance.
