I did the proper steps to set page numbers. Only slides with text had page numbers! The slides that have graphics -no page number. Yes, I have gone thru it all to troubleshoot.

Ultimate Fix - HAVE YOU TRIED this?? Go to a slide (norm view) where you can see a page# is visible at the bottom. Click to select the page number box > copy > and go to the first slide that does not have a page number, and Paste. OH wow it pasted AND with the appropriate page number too.

To show slide numbers on all slides, all slide layouts must have a slide number placeholder. If the creator of the deck has deleted the placeholder from the layout, then try the following:

    1. Select a slide that is missing the slide number.
    2. Choose View>Slide Master. The slide layout for the slide opens.
    3. On the Slide Master tab, click on the Footers option once or twice to restore the placeholders.
    4. Close the Slide Master and click on Home>Reset to update the slide and display the slide number. Then Reset all the other slides that are based on the same layout.
