Hello, when I registered for the Microsoft 365 + LinkedIn Student 12-month free subscription intended for students, I received the message "Your academic status has not been verified. You can choose another verification method to verify your academic status," despite the fact that I am currently considered an active student atInformation deleted for privacy protection. I should note that I have contacted the academy regarding this matter. The academy stated that the email address Information deleted for privacy protection appears in their database as an active student and has been introduced to the Microsoft system. I request your support in resolving the issue.

I also attempted to register using a different method. At that time, when I entered my personal information and academic email address to verify, I encountered the error "We are sorry, we can not process your request right now. Please try after some time" on the "Security Check" page, and I am unable to proceed to the next stages.

    Hi @Amirguliyev Eldar,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for contacting us. I would like to provide you with the following information:

You mentioned that you have already contacted your academic institution regarding this issue, and the institution has confirmed that your account is identified as a student account.

In this case, please contact your school’s IT department and ask them to create a support ticket to reach the technical support team so they can check the status of your account in the system.

You can provide the IT department with the following steps to open a ticket:

    Step 1: Go to admin.microsoft.com

Once the system receives the ticket and assigns it to a support agent, the agent will proactively contact you using the contact method you selected.

It appears that you are encountering difficulties with the academic verification process for the Microsoft 365 + LinkedIn Student offer. Here are some suggestions to help you resolve this issue:

    1. Check Email Association: Make sure that the email address you are using is correctly linked to your institution and follows the appropriate format recognized by Microsoft (e.g., your institution's specific domain).
    2. Institution Confirmation: Since your academy has confirmed that your email is listed as active, it might be beneficial to ask them if there are any further steps they need to take to ensure your email is registered properly in Microsoft's system.
    3. Try Alternative Verification: If you continue to receive the verification error, consider using a different method for verification. Sometimes, switching browsers or clearing your browser's cache can resolve issues with the verification process.
    4. Address Security Check Errors: The message "We are sorry, we cannot process your request right now" during the Security Check may indicate a temporary issue with Microsoft's system. It may be helpful to wait a bit and try again later.
    5. Manual Verification Options: If automatic verification does not work, you might need to provide additional documentation to Microsoft, such as a student ID, transcript, or enrollment letter. Check if this option is available during the verification process.

If these steps do not lead to a resolution, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance regarding your academic verification issue.
