You mentioned that you have already contacted your academic institution regarding this issue, and the institution has confirmed that your account is identified as a student account.
In this case, please contact your school’s IT department and ask them to create a support ticket to reach the technical support team so they can check the status of your account in the system.
You can provide the IT department with the following steps to open a ticket:
Step 1: Go to admin.microsoft.com
Step 2: Select Help & Support
Step 3: Enter the ticket title: “Request support to check the academic status of a student account”
Step 4: Select Contact Support
Step 5: Choose your preferred contact method (email or phone)
Once the system receives the ticket and assigns it to a support agent, the agent will proactively contact you using the contact method you selected.
